October 10 2008: International World Mental Health Day. Our activities to celebrate International World Mental health day will start a week earlier. We will organise workshops, fairs and processions  with the participations of users and survivors. You are welcome to partner with us by writing to us at  info@usp-kenya.com

 

Every third Saturday of the month: Schizophrenia Foundation of Kenya Family support groups.  Meetings of family members of people with schizophrenia and allied disorders held every third Saturday of the month from 11.00 am at Schizophrenia foundation offices at Mutero PCEA Church in Karen and at Kenyatta National Hospital. The meetings provides a forum for families with mentally sick persons to interact and give each other moral support as a way of helping families to understand the illnesses and how to manage them.  Other benefits of attending the meetings include obtaining education and support from people who understand major impact of mental illness on families such as health professionals.
